Paul Padda Quoted in Las Vegas Review-Journal

Recently, many prominent politicians – even elected officials in Nevada – have come under fire for misuse of campaign funds and other related financial issues. Nevada Senate Majority Leader Kelvin Atkinson resigned from his position early this month after pleading guilty to wire fraud. The scheme included the misuse of $250,000 of campaign funds to finance credit card bills, a nightclub, and a luxury car.

Las Vegas federal attorney Paul Padda, a former prosecutor who worked on election cases, is quoted as saying, “being elected to public office should not be a business opportunity. Given the recent prosecutions like this one, I think it should certainly cause greater reflection by state legislators in how the campaign law is written and what additional safeguards need to be implemented to ensure the integrity of the system.” Read more about the story from the Review-Journal.

At Paul Padda Law, we’re more than your lawyers. We’re the allies you want to help set things right.
